Reading progress update: I've read 7%.
As I found out I can still get Audible on my windows 8 phone I bought the audio book to accompany the kindle ebook I bought many moons ago but never read. So far, so good, I'm switching between the two. It feels like a good old-fashioned 70s sci fi story, the kind I grew up with and the kind of sci fi that made me love the genre so much. The narrator has a nice voice that is pleasant to listen to, but I find that the audio loses a little of the 'speak', words like 'slipping' (the colonists expression for having sex) sounds very much like sleeping, so I had a bit of an 'aha' moment when I read it.
